Reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete (RAAC)
There has been a lot of coverage in the press recently about the presence of RAAC in schools across the UK and concerns of the structural safety of these buildings.
RAAC was used widely in the construction of post-war buildings until the 1980’s, in particular those of flat roof construction, and it could be present in buildings other than schools.
We’re currently reviewing our estate and at present we have not identified RAAC in any properties owned by Livv Housing Group. However, we continue to survey properties and if necessary, we will seek specialist advice to ensure the safety of our customers.
