New Building Safety forums launched in high rise homes

Keeping you safe at home is the most important thing we do.

Your feedback helps us continue to provide safe and secure high-rise homes for your community.

We’ve been hosting drop-in sessions since December 2025 in Halewood, Huyton and Kirkby to talk about all things building safety. Since then, we’ve held another drop-in session in Huyton and developed two new Building Safety Forums in Kirkby and Halewood. These forums include:

  • Meeting our Building Safety Manager
  • Learning about what we already do to keep you safe
  • Helping fill out Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans (PEEPs) for those who need support to leave their home during an emergency
  • Giving you the opportunity to raise any concerns you have about building safety

Our Building Safety Forums will continue to give you the opportunity to discuss any concerns and ask any questions you have. Going forward, forum discussions will cover topics like:

  • Fire safety
  • Emergency evacuation plans
  • Repairs and maintenance
  • Communicating safety measures with customers

These forums will now take place twice a year but concerns about building safety can still be flagged to us all year round. We’ll continue to hold a drop-in session every 6 months in Huyton to make sure all our high-rise home customers and forum members have plenty of chances to share feedback and raise concerns with us.

“Building safety works best when it’s something we do with our customers, rather than something that happens around them. I’m really pleased with the engagement we’ve had so far and look forward to continuing to build these relationships. Together, these drop-in sessions and forums make sure we’re going above and beyond what is set out to us in the Building Safety Act”.
