Livv in Your Community grant scheme
We’re funding 14 local VCFSEs through our Livv in Your Community grant scheme until March 2026. Projects and activities support people in Knowsley with social isolation, financial wellbeing and social and digital inclusion.

An Hour for Others
Location: Huyton
Weekly coffee morning and weekly brekkie and brew within the community hub in Huyton Village. Supporting adults with various advisory services at these sessions including financial advice, family law, housing and health services.
Centre 63
Location: Kirkby
Get Connected weekly digital drop-in and chat sessions supporting residents to get connected with themselves, with others and digitally. Snacks and hot drinks will be provided. Those attending will have the opportunity to sign up for an additional 12-week wellbeing programme.
Evolving Mindset
Location: Prescot
Wellbeing Wednesdays are weekly community wellbeing event every Wednesday for all residents to attend and engage in activities and access support with benefits and financial advice. Everyone attending will be provided with a free hot or cold meal.
Expanding Horizons
Location: Prescot
Our Place, Our Time is delivered weekly to local people aged 55+. Based at Prescot indoor shopping centre, the project offers social, educational and cultural activities such as local history talks, music and film club, improving financial wellbeing workshops.
Explore Partnership
Location: Halewood
Twice weekly sessions delivered at The HUB. Activities include Community Connect sessions offering refreshments, conversation, signposting, creative workshops and volunteering opportunities. There will also be monthly advice days with local partners.
Friends of Eaton Street Park
Location: Prescot
A Winter Warmer Community Afternoon for older residents every fortnight at Prescot Town Hall. Get together to play board games, have a game of bingo and enjoy a fish and chip lunch. Local services will attend, providing information about what’s happening in the area and the support that’s available.
Kirkby Veterans Club
Location: Kirkby
Kirkby Veterans Breakfast Club offers a warm environment for veterans to receive free hot food and drinks. Provision of winter clothing and other warm essentials. Access to mental health support, housing, benefit and grant applications and debt support. There will also be light tough workshops around budgeting and winter energy-saving tips, cold weather health advice, job coaching and volunteering opportunities.
Knowsley Vale Amateur Boxing Club
Location: Kirkby
Box and Brew combines light, accessible physical activity with time to sit down and share a brew. Delivered at the community boxing gym, there are two open access sessions every week. Anyone is welcome to join regardless of sex, age or ability. After the activity, there will be a social space offering tea, coffee, and healthy snacks. Guest speakers from local services will be in attendance.
Laugh for Life Comedy
Location: Knowsley
Laugh for Life Comedy with Livv offers stand-up comedy learning sessions for all residents within the local community who have been experiencing low mood, poor mental health and social isolation. There will be two courses across Knowsley, each delivering five-weekly sessions, where participants can learn how to do stand-up (writing, listening, sharing and performing) with an option to perform at a comedy club.
Merseyside Housing & Debt Advice
Location: Kirkby
Click and Connect is designed to tackle digital exclusion, reduce social isolation and build confidence among residents in Knowsley. Weekly sessions provide a welcoming, supportive space where local people can get online, access tailored one-to-one advice and connect with others in their community. Light refreshments will also be provided.
Plus One Community Learning
Location: Huyton
Help Your Child Thrive is ran weekly providing a warm environment for parents and carers and their pre-school children. Sessions provide reassurance, practical resources and strategies tailored to support child development, including those with additional needs. Breakfast is provided.
Quirky Academy
Location: Kirkby and Huyton
Brew & Brush is a series of morning creative workshops that combine shared breakfast, relaxation and decorative art. These sessions invite residents to come together, enjoy breakfast, and take part in hands-on, decorative art activities such as hand-painting, mosaic, decoupage, or upcycled art.
Torrington Drive Community Association
Location: Halewood
The Helping Halewood – Winter Support Programme offers weekly meals, social activities and wellbeing support for children, families and older residents. A variety of activities and initiatives will take place each week including family activity sessions (crafts and games); older people’s lunch gatherings with gentle activities and peer support; access to local advice partners.
Wild Warrior Wellness
Location: Knowsley
Empowering women and families, Wellbeing Walks take place over a full day around Prescot, Kirkby, Whiston and Huyton and include guided meditation, breathwork, gentle yoga movements and sharing circles to help people relax, reset and restore their nervous systems. Face-to-face support sessions provide opportunities to discuss challenges, coping mechanisms and future planning and support.
