Today as part of our National Apprenticeship Week celebrations, we’re catching up with one of our Customer Insight apprentices, Claudia Connor. From Halewood, Claudia joined us last September as part of our 2021 cohort. Here she tells us how she’s settling into life at Livv.

Tell us a little bit about your time as a Livv apprentice so far

As with all of the other Customer Insight (CI) apprentices, I spent the first three months of my apprenticeship working in the Contact Centre, being the first point of contact for our customers. This was a pleasant experience as I built an understanding of this side of the business and as we were dealing with a wide range of queries, I got to meet new people from different teams.

I then spent a month with the Advisory team where I developed an understanding of how we support our customers. I’ve just joined the Processing team and am currently getting trained on income and how the process works. Next month, I’ll join the Community and Business Planning team. I like that I get to spend time in each team within the CI department before choosing which team I want to join for the remainder of my apprenticeship programme.

How are you settling into life at Livv?

I’ve really enjoyed my time here so far and I’m looking forward to the next 14 months. I’m enjoying picking up new knowledge every day from those around me. Everyone in the business is so welcoming and easy to approach, I know I can turn to them if I ever need to ask anything.

What’s the most important lesson you have learnt during your time as a Customer Insight Apprentice?

Due to the nature of the CI department, I’ve learnt to always try and put yourself in the customers shoes. Learning on the job has also taught me how to adapt to different situations and circumstances.

Where do you see yourself in the future?

Before my apprenticeship, I was never sure what I wanted to do or be but since being at Livv and spending time with the different teams within Customer Insight, seeing for myself how we help our customers, I think I see my future working within Customer Engagement. I hope that my apprenticeship will help me achieve this by giving me the first-hand experience, and my assignments will give me the theoretical knowledge that I need.
