With a Social Return on Investment of £1:£1.65, for every £1 we invested in social impact, £1.65 of social value was delivered.

Our work spans a spectrum of themes, reflecting our deep-rooted commitment to supporting customers and communities. These include improving financial wellbeing, increasing access to employment, training and skills, promoting health and wellbeing and fostering safer, stronger communities.

We also focused on tackling social isolation and loneliness, empowering young people and investing in social enterprises.

Key achievements for 2024/25 include:

  • 2,182 customers supported with fuel, food and essential items
  • 3,774 customers supported to improve financial wellbeing and resilience
  • £42,027 saved for customers through the Pocket Power initiative
  • 330 people gained employment through our support
  • 19 apprenticeships created by Livv and its partners
  • £2.1 million invested in energy efficiency upgrades including loft insulation, triple glazing and solar PV panels – 821 homes improved EPC rating
  • 1,965 customers supported to improve health and wellbeing
  • 2,628 customers helped to improve social inclusion and access to wider opportunities

I’m proud to share our 2024/25 Social Accounts report, which highlights the meaningful and measurable difference we’re making in our customers’ lives.

“Through targeted services, advice programmes and strong community partnerships, our work supports financial wellbeing, employment, health and youth empowerment. Not only are we driving real change, but we’re also easing pressure on public services, where last year, we saved £12.6m to the public purse.

“Creating social impact also strengthens our organisation. It helps us build trust, improve services, and attract support, all while making a real difference in people’s lives and delivering real value for money.

“But behind every statistic is a story. These stories bring our social value to life and remind us why our work truly matters. We’re more than a housing provider; we’re a force for social good. And together, we’re building stronger, healthier and more connected communities.

Sharon Marsh, Chief Executive.

Our impact was driven by a range of community-focused programmes. These include Cooking with Livv, a social isolation initiative using food to bring people together, in partnership with Alba Restaurant; Give Get Go, a wellbeing and mentoring programme ran by Transform Lives Company; and Future Skills in Construction, which helps customers gain qualifications to gain access to site work.

We also continued to champion young people’s mental health through our Knowsley Young Minds initiative with Evolving Mindset, and we played a key role in the Liverpool City Region’s Digital Inclusion Initiative, helping over 100 customers get online and stay connected.

Through our Livv and Flourish social investment fund, we supported local charities and social enterprise with £524,180 in loans and £80,000 in grants, further amplifying our community impact.
