It’s been a while since we last spoke to you about the proposals for the Gaywood Green site and we’ve been busy in the background working through the detail of our plans.
An update on Gaywood Green…
We held a drop-in session with the team at the end of August to get your feedback on the latest proposals. We showcased a variety of visuals from different angles, the types of housing we’d like to put on the site and had lots of discussions between residents and our teams which helped inform our final plan.
The planning process…
Following your feedback, we’re now looking at submitting plans to the local authority in September. This will be a great opportunity for you to provide more feedback on what you like and don’t like about our ideas. We’ll provide all the links and contact details for the planning consultation in our next newsletter so you can get in touch directly with the local authority with your views.
What’s next?
We hope to get a decision on our proposals early in 2026 and if we’re successful we’d look to start on site in Spring/Summer 2026.
When we’ve got further information on the development and have appointed a team to build it, we’ll hold a ‘Meet the contractor’ event so you can meet who’ll be on site. It’ll also be a great opportunity to raise any concerns you have. We’ll get in touch with you later this year once we have news on the planning application and what our next steps will be.
