How we can help

If you have a disability or long-term illness, aids or adaptations could make your home more comfortable and accessible. We are on hand to provide independent living advice and help you make the choices that are right for you. Our service is open to all Knowsley residents, whether you are a Livv Housing customer, homeowner or rent privately.

A medical assessment will be carried out by one of our trained assessors to identify which aids and adaptations will be the most useful for you. This could include:
• stair rails
• grab rails
• installation of steps
• commodes
• perching stools

If you need more complex or larger adaptations, we will help refer you on to the right team for the job.

Financial support

Worried about the cost? Many minor adaptations can be done for free. Our team will be able to advise you about your eligibility for financial help towards the costs of any changes.

Contractor support

Planning a large home improvement project can be daunting. This is why we offer a contract support service to help with the planning from start to finish; our team will meet you to discuss the work you require and advise you on the best approach.

Our team can also help you find the right tradesperson for the job from our list of trusted tradespeople. They will continue to advise you through the build until the job is completed.
